Food Engineering is a career oriented motivated students with the processes of the food industry. Quality control management, value nutritious food, modern techniques of conservation, storage and transport of foodstuffs, are some of the fundamental aspects of this career.
As engineers we have extensive capabilities to perform successfully in the control and management of processes in the preparation of food. Other career prospects make it research and development of new products.
This last point is where I would like to develop myself as a future engineer in food, research and the creation of new food products.
Create food I do not mean to for example make a fruit like Apple but that inside he is red as a strawberry, if not develop foods which can improve the quality of life of the people, since there are studies that indicate that many of the foods we consume daily are harmful for our health.
I imagine working in a laboratory and outside it, knowing and discovering foods that are found in nature. Adding a part of knowing, I'd travel to other countries to appreciate and use raw materials which are found around the world (to be able to do this, I need a good salary hahaha).
